Online withdrawal generator for France: information notice, button and form
Since 19/06/2026, the model information notice on withdrawal mentions the online function “renoncer au contrat ici” (withdraw from the contract here). Answer a few questions: the tool assembles the official model annexed to the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code) for your situation, without changing its wording, and prepares the link and the model form. The generated texts are in French because they are meant for consumers in France: French law requires this information to be given in French to consumers in France.
1. The information notice for your terms of sale
To include in your terms of sale (conditions générales de vente) and in the information given before the order.
HTML code
Plain text
2. The “Renoncer au contrat ici” link
The function must be visible, directly and easily accessible, and available throughout the withdrawal period. Place this link in the site footer, in the customer account and in the order confirmation e-mail. It leads to your online withdrawal form, which your platform or a module must provide: this generator does not create that form.
HTML code for the link
What the online form must allow, under Article D. 221-5:
- providing or confirming the customer's surname and first name;
- identifying the contract (order number and date, for example);
- stating the electronic means by which to receive the acknowledgement of receipt (e-mail address);
- sending the statement with a “confirmer la rétractation” (confirm withdrawal) button or a similar unambiguous wording;
- receiving, within a reasonable time and on a durable medium, an acknowledgement of receipt that mentions the content of the statement and the date and time it was sent.
3. The model withdrawal form
The model form from the annex to Article R. 221-1, filled in with your details. It remains mandatory in the pre-contractual information, alongside the online function.

4. Sample acknowledgement of receipt
