Making online retail rules checkable
ConformRadar is a private, independent service designed in Paris. It starts from a simple observation: the obligations that apply to a product page keep multiplying, and a merchant has neither the time to read every text nor a tool that brings them together.
Why this service
In just a few years, online shops have had to display the EPR unique identifier (2022), GPSR manufacturer information (late 2024), the online withdrawal button and the place of manufacture of textiles (2026), with new EU rules on environmental claims still to come. Each rule has its own text, date and format.
Existing tools each cover one piece: a green claims scanner, a GPSR app, a terms of sale template. ConformRadar reads the shop itself and brings these rules together in one report.
How the checks are built
- One legal text for each check. Every point in the report cites the article it relies on, read on Légifrance or EUR-Lex, with the date it was last verified.
- Careful statuses. "Needs fixing" is reserved for what can be verified without ambiguity. Everything else is "to check", with the excerpt found.
- Calibrated on real shops. Before launch, the engine was tested on 22 French shops across different platforms and sectors; the false positives found were fixed.
- A polite robot. It respects robots.txt, reads one page per second and never bypasses a site's protections.
What ConformRadar is not
- Not a public authority or an accredited body: the service is not affiliated with any public authority.
- Not a law firm: a report flags points to check, it does not replace legal advice.
- Not a certification: no report is a certificate of compliance.
Independence
The service shows no advertising and sells no data. Reports are neither published nor indexed by search engines.
